Henri Masson LL.D., enjoyed a lengthy career during which, for the most part, he lived in the Ottawa area. He earned a distinguished reputation as an artist. Critically, his artistic roots may be found in the Ashcan school of art. His paintings of the late 1950s and through much of the 60s are just a few brushstrokes from non-figuration. Masson has rarely been properly credited for his contemporary inclinations. In his search for stimulating landscapes to paint near his home in Ottawa, Masson often found inspiration around the villages in the Gatineau.
Henri was a cigar-smoking big man, as bold in his demeanor as he was in his brushwork. We encourage your purchase.
