  • Experience & Expertise

Over the years the family has directly represented significant artists, including members of the Group of Seven, A.Y. Jackson, Arthur Lismer, and Edwin Holgate, as well as Molly Lamb Bobak, Paul-Emile Borduas, Nora Collyer, Prudence Heward, Randolph Hewton, Marc-Auele Fortin, John Little, James Wilson Morrice, Kathleen M. Morris, Robert Pilot, and Albert H. Robinson.  We have also represented the estates and descendants of artists of significance, including Clarence A. Gagnon and James Wilson Morrice.

The Klinkhoff family’s reputation for expertise and integrity led some of Canada’s foremost collectors to pursue their guidance, including E.P. Taylor, Lord Kenneth Thomson, Power Corporation, and Imperial Oil, to name a selection.  Works sold by the Klinkhoff family can be found in major museums across Canada, including the National Gallery of Canada, the MNBAQ, the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, the Beaverbrook Art Gallery, Calgary’s Glenbow Museum, and the Vancouver Art Gallery, to name a selection.

In addition to associations with artists and/or their Estates, the Klinkhoff family has prepared and presented more than 35 museum-style retrospective exhibitions. These annual non-selling shows feature an important selection of works by a Canadian artist with a view in mind to studying them and sharing their virtues with other art aficionados. The Klinkhoff family has celebrated in that fashion several of the artists mentioned above as well as Emily Carr, Adrien Hébert, David Milne, M.A. Suzor-Coté and Albert H. Robinson to name only a selection.
