For us the year 2019 has brought us two precious, rare and particularly fine paintings by the artist John Young Johnstone. There is not a great deal of reference material about the artist, commonly referred to by us as "Johnny" Johnstone. With a view in mind to sharing with our community these two rather special pictures we take this occasion to paste together the legend and the facts as we know them.
