Continental Galleries, Montreal.
The Estate of Mrs. Joan Roy Harrington (née Hastings).
In 1978, McGregor Street was renamed Doctor Penfield avenue after the founder of Montreal's Neurological Institute.
Located in the heart of Montreal's Golden Square Mile, McGregor Street originally connected rue Côte-des-Neiges with rue Simpson, on the former property of John McGregor.
The perspective John Little offers in this composition is from the north side of McGregor Street looking east towards rue Simpson.
In the 1950s, McGregor Street was lengthened from Simpson to Pine avenue, through the McGill University campus.
