For a collector of David Blackwood , to own a drawing, which is the inception of an aquatint, is a most interesting perspective or understanding on the evolution of the artist’s thinking working between the two mediums. The obvious change is the format and his narrowing of the horizontal plane. But, there is much more worthy of study and the opportunity to do so by owning the pair.
