City parks, Lafontaine Park and the park offered by Mount Royal as examples, share a hugely important history for urban dwellers in the decades preceding the development of an infrastructure that facilitated access by car to “the country” for recreation.
Note: In 2017, Alan Klinkhoff Gallery published A Tribute to John Little, City Life from 1951 the only authorized study of the work and career of John Little. In preparation of a sequel, to be considered for publication, we invite owners of John Little paintings to submit images and details to the gallery at firstname.lastname@example.org.
